Romantic Korean drama is one sub-genre of Korean Drama (often nicknamed Kdramas) of particular interest. Although with the popularity of shows like Squid Game, more Korean drama series are having second seasons. K-dramas also tend to only have 10-20 episodes (an average of 16) with a planned ending – so they have a limited series feel most of the time. In the early days of its popularity in the U.S., watching Korean dramas felt more niche and not always easy. I was hooked years ago, watching as many as possible on the now-defunct Dramafever. K-dramas have an addictive quality to them.
